Senior College Commission members are selected through a multi-step process, which is outlined in Article IV of the Commission's Bylaws.
Nominations to the Commission are made by CEOs of WASC-accredited institutions. The nomination process begins in late autumn and concludes in early January.
In March, after all nominees have been vetted by the WASC Nominating Committee, a final slate of nominees is sent to the region for voting. As per the Bylaws, only CEOs of WASC-accredited institutions are eligible to vote in the Commission Election.
Following the conclusion of the balloting period in early April, election results are announced to the region. New commissioners are formally introduced to the region at the WASC Academic Resource Conference in mid-April.
